Notice of Stakeholder Meeting to Review Regulations of the Nevada Division of Forestry per Executive Order 2026-003
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) is organizing a stakeholder meeting to gather recommendations on regulations that could be streamlined, clarified, amended, or repealed. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share feedback on current regulations and identify areas where further improvements may be needed.

NDF has regulatory authority over the following Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) chapters: 472, 527, and 528. Links to the current regulations are provided below.
Please note that Chapter 527 has not yet been updated on the Legislative Counsel Bureau website to reflect amendments approved in December 2024; however, the approved regulation is included here for reference.
- Chapter 472 – State Forester Firewarden
- Chapter 527 – Protection and Preservation of Timbered Lands, Trees and Flora and approved regulation LCB File 145-24
- Chapter 528 – Forest Practice and Reforestation
Persons wishing to make oral comment on the proposed regulation of the Division are encouraged to participate in the scheduled workshop, either in person or via Microsoft Teams. Persons wishing to submit written testimony or documentary evidence may submit the material by emailing ndfinfo@forestry.nv.gov or by mailing to the following address: Nevada Division of Forestry, 901 S. Stewart Street Ste. 1001, Carson City, NV 89701. Written comments are due Friday, October 30, 2026, by 5:00 pm.

Pursuant to Executive Order 2026‑003, the Division will solicit input on regulations under its authority, including Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapters 472, 527, and 528. Comments should pertain specifically to regulatory content. Feedback received will inform the Division’s comprehensive review of regulations subject to its authority.
