Elko Fall Plant Sale Scheduled for Mid October. Native and Adapted Plants Available for Purchase
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) and the Northeastern Nevada Stewardship Group (NNSG) will host the Elko Fall Plant Sale, offering native and/or adapted plants grown at the Washoe Conservation Nursery for purchase.
“The plant sale represents a long-standing partnership with NNSG to encourage individual conservation efforts in our area. The available species are native or adapted. They are usually better able to withstand Nevada’s conditions.” says Andi Porreca, conservation staff specialist at the Nevada Division of Forestry.
Unlike other plant sales, this event requires pre-ordering and payment to ensure delivery (see below)
Completed forms and payment can be mailed or dropped off at NDF’s Elko office, located at 911 Falcon Ln, Elko NV, 89801 by October 8 to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. Checks are payable to Northeastern Nevada Stewardship Group (NNSG).
Customers can pick up their plants at the NDF office in Elko, Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
