Fire Restrictions Lifted for Nevada State Parks and Recreation Areas, Effective November 25th, 2024
Effective November 25th, the Nevada Division of Forestry will lift fire restrictions at all state parks and recreation areas. Year-round campfire restrictions will remain in effect for the four state parks in the Tahoe Basin, Spooner Lake and Backcountry, Van Sickle, Sand Harbor, and Cave Rock.

To kick off American Archives Month, the Nevada State Archives unveiled an exhibit highlighting the Nevada Division of Forestry’s (NDF) essential role in protecting and managing Nevada’s lands. The exhibit will be open to the public from October 1 to December 31 at the Nevada State Archives in Carson City.
Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and Nevada Division of Forestry Create Combined Wildland Fire Crew to Confront the Wildfire Crisis
A new agreement between the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and the Nevada Division of Forestry will enhance safe and effective wildfire response across Nevada. The centerpiece of this partnership is the creation of the joint Arc Dome Wildland Fire Module that is focused on planning, monitoring, and responding to wildfires.
