Fire Restrictions Begin June 13 on Nevada State Lands and State Parks in Clark and Lincoln Counties.
Starting at 12:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, fire restrictions will go into effect across all Nevada state lands, including state parks and recreation areas in Clark and Lincoln County. These restrictions are issued by the Nevada Division of Forestry’s State Forester/Firewarden to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires during wildfire season.
Prescribed Burn Planned for Mason Valley Wilderness Area on May 16, 2025
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) is scheduled to conduct a prescribed broadcast burn for the Nevada Department of Wildlife on approximately 500 acres of the Mason Valley Wildlife Management Area north of Yerington, Nevada. The areas to be burned are important regional habitat for many species of fish, waterfowl, and shorebirds. Burning is planned to begin at 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2025, but will only proceed if weather and site conditions are favorable for meeting the prescription.
