Conservation Education & Outreach Grant

Nevada Division of Forestry prioritizes Conservation Education Opportunities. One of the primary means for accomplishing our conservation and restoration goals as outlined in the Nevada Forest, Range, and Watershed Action Plan is by increasing the educational materials and opportunities available to our communities. In doing so, we empower our communities to make well informed land management decisions.

We support our partners. Through our partners, the importance of conservation education can be made more accessible to our public. We support our partners by hosting a Conservation Education Grant Opportunity. Elligile organizations include:

  • State Agencies
  • Local Agencies
  • Tribes
  • Non-profits
  • Educational Institutions

Funding requests may not exceed $10,000 per application and applicant agency indirect costs may not exceed the 2 CFR 200 deminimus rate of 15% of the total budget request unless the agency applying has a NICRA. Applications are expected to provide 20% Non-Federal Match. Applications are accepted from January until April annually and will be awarded following scoring. Qualifying applications will be evaluated upon receipt by NDF Staff and assigned priority rankings. Selected projects will be awarded funding on a continuing basis until available funds have been allocated, at which time, notification will be sent that no further applications will be accepted until the next fiscal year.
