Elko Tree Sales
The Nevada Division of Forestry and the NNSG are pleased to once again hold the Elko Plant Sale. This sale represents a continuing collaboration between NDF and the local NNSG. We appreciate how previous customers (you) have shared this information with your neighbors, family and friends and encourage you to do so with this sale.
Please read closely the attached Elko Tree Sale order form for instructions on ordering and plant pick-up. This sale requires pre-payment because the exact amount of nursery stock is pulled from NDF’s Washoe State Nursery and transported to Elko prior to the sale. NDF and NNSG can only provide correct and timely fulfillment of orders when they are submitted in the manner specified in this flyer. Note that the order forms must be submitted by October 10th and pick up dates will be Friday, October 18th from 8 am to 3 pm and Saturday, October 19th from 8 to 10 am at the NDF office (911 Falcon Ln.). If you cannot make those days and times, please find someone who can make the pick-up for you.
We have provided you with order forms in both Excel and Adobe PDF formats. If you have a spreadsheet program on your computer, you can use the Excel format form to automatically calculate the amount due. Or, simply print out the PDF form and manually indicate both your quantities by species and the amount due. All plants are first come, first served – so get your order in as soon as possible.
The attached Washoe Nursery Plant Characteristics PDF can provide you with information on selecting a species suitable to your planting site. NDF has some of these trees and shrubs planted in the Jordan Arboretum at the NDF Northern Region headquarters. You are welcome to come and view them as mature plants. Please call the office number below if you need further information on any of the plants listed.
Thanks again and we look forward to successfully filling your order!
