Nevada Division of Forestry Partners with Rutledge Airborne Applications to Enhance Wildland Firefighting Capabilities
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) is excited to announce it has partnered with Rutledge Airborne Applications to provide critical air support for wildland firefighting throughout Nevada. This three-year partnership contract significantly increases fire response capabilities by utilizing state-of-the-art single engine air tankers (SEATs).
NDF Transfers Wildfire Engine to Reno-Tahoe Airport Fire Department
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) transferred ownership of a Type III wildfire engine to the Reno-Tahoe Airport Fire Department, as part of NDF’s ongoing efforts to support firefighting capabilities among partner agencies throughout the state.
Fire Restrictions Enacted for Western Region State Parks in Nevada
Nevada Division of Forestry's State Forester/Firewarden will impose the following fire restrictions for all State Lands, Nevada State Park and Recreation Areas listed herein -- Spooner Lake and Backcountry, Sand Harbor, Van Sickle, Cave Rock, Washoe Lake, Mormon Station, Lahontan Lake, Buckland Station, Walker River, Dayton, Fort Churchill, and Rye Patch State Parks -- pursuant to NRS 472.040, 472.510, 472.520 and 407.0475. Fire restrictions will be effective at 12:01 a.m., July 1, 2022 and will remain in effect until rescinded.
Fire Restrictions Enacted for South Fork, Wildhorse, Cave Lake and Ward Charcoal Ovens State Parks and Recreation Areas
Nevada Division of Forestry's State Forester/Firewarden will impose the following fire restrictions for all State Lands, Nevada State Park and Recreation Areas listed herein -- South Fork, Wildhorse, Cave lake and Ward Charcoal Ovens State Parks, pursuant to NRS 472.040, 472.510, 472.520 and 407.0475. Fire restrictions will be effective at 12:01 a.m., June 29, 2022 and will remain in effect until rescinded.
