Fire Adapted Nevada Partnership

Ready, Set, Go!

Nevada communities experience threatening wildland fires throughout the year. Ready, Set, Go! is meant to be a community-based program that encourages engagement between local fire departments and residents. When these two work together, residents can be better prepared to reduce their home for reduce structure ignitability, have all the necessary evacuation plans, contacts, and supplies in place, as well as know when to leave, where to go, and what to take. Nevada Division of Forestry encourages all residents and fire departments to create a Ready, Set, Go! program in their local communities to help keep residents safe, homes less ignitable and firefighters more effective at suppressing wildfires.
