Forest Stewardship Committee

The Forest Stewardship Committe purpose is to provide advice and recommendations to the State Forester regarding programs related to state and private forests and to evaluate and rank proposed projects, such as Forest Legacy Projects,  in the state and then recommend the best projects for funding.

Currently, membership is open to the local, state, federal, other non government entities, and the public, especially private forest land owners. The Forest Stewardship Committee meets two times a year- in Spring  and Fall.

The next meeting is scheduled for October 18, 2012. The meeting is available state wide through the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s video conference network. Here are the locations for the October 18th meeting:
