Nursery Greening Project

The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) Urban and Community Forestry Program (UC&F) is requesting applications for free trees provided by the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for urban public spaces in Clark County. The focus of ARRA is to stimulate the economy and create jobs or retain positions.

NDF staff are available to demonstrate proper tree care and planting for successful applicants. To have a copy mailed to you, contact Adria DeCorte at (702) 486-5123.

The Nursery Greening Project provides free trees to assist Nevada communities in Clark County with increasing public awareness of tree benefits, providing tree-care education, involving citizen volunteers in urban forestry programs, and increasing tree planting. Local governmental units, tribes, tree advocacy groups, and service organizations located in Clark County are all encouraged to apply to help build capacity and partnerships.
